WHAT’S NEW
This update is notifying you of a new software release EDB Postgres Failover Manager (EFM) version 3.2. Failover Manager provides the high availability infrastructure for EDB Postgres clusters. Failover Manager monitors the members of a Postgres cluster, identifies and verifies database failures quickly and reliably, and if needed promotes a standby node to become the cluster master and issues alerts.
Highlights of this release include:
• Better integration with pgPool and other load balancers - New script hooks to be called when a node should be added or removed from a load balancer. Supports all Failover Manager use cases, such as switchover and standby failure.
• Manage minimum severity level for notification scripts - The Failover Manager notification.level property now also controls when a notification script is executed.
• Improved node information in logs - Address/hostname included whenever a node’s logical address is logged to make agent logs more readable.
Defects corrected in this update:
• Notification severity now applies to notification scripts (#769700).
