EDB Postgres Advanced Server (Database Server 9.6.11.18)
WHAT’S NEW
This update is notifying you of a new software release EDB Postgres™ Advanced Server 9.6.11.18. EDB Postgres Advanced Server 9.6 is built on the open source PostgreSQL 9.6, which introduces an impressive number of improvements that enable databases to scale up and scale out in more efficient ways. PostgreSQL 9.6 also includes new monitoring capabilities that offer more visibility into the internal operations of the system such as vacuum progress monitoring and exposure of low level wait states in pg_stat_statements.
Highlights of 9.6.11.18 release include:

- RM43777 - Fix permissions of re-created system views. [Support Ticket #810997]
- RM43731 - pg_dump: Use ALTER TABLE statement to dump storage options for redwood style partition table. [Support Ticket #794870]
- RM43710 - Remove checking for a dependent package in global package array. [Support Ticket #777367]
- RM43713 - Fix issue with DBMS_AQ workers remaining longer than necessary.
- RM43763 - Ensure DBMS_AQ workers can't block cluster shutdown process.
- RM43734 - pg_upgrade does not preserve ownership of table partitions after upgrade.
- RM43542 - Fix ECPG issue where it reports a syntax error near __gnuc_va_list. [Support Ticket #714566]
- RM43704 - pg_dump: dump foreign key constraints for partition table. [Support Ticket #783782]
- RM43715 - Fix failure to allow AUTHID DEFINER package functions in some contexts.
- RM43724 - SPL: Ensure sub-transactions are released upon error.
