IS THIS UPDATE FOR ME?
This announcement is for EDB customers who have a current database subscription and wish to move EDB software to RHEL 8.
Please note that the LLVM JIT package is not supported on RHEL 8.x at present. The support for this package will be available within the next 8 weeks.
HOW TO GET THE UPDATE AND APPLY IT
Start by upgrading EDB Postgres Advanced Server. EDB repositories support DNF to install RPM packages on a RHEL 8 host. DNF technology provides support for modular content, increased performance, and a well-designed stable API for integration with tooling. Installation instructions are found in the EDB Postgres Advanced Server Installation Guide for Linux. After a successful install, you can then work your way down the list of EDB products, by referring to their respective installation guides. Access the relevant RPM files and commence your upgrade today.
