WHAT’S NEW
This announcement is notifying you of a new software release: EDB Postgres Backup and Recovery Tool 2.5.2 (BART)
EDB Backup and Recovery facilitates and automates complete hot physical backups of your PostgreSQL or EDB Postgres Advanced Server database. It is a centralized server that can connect to and backup multiple local or remote Postgres databases.
Defects corrected in this update:
- Create recovery.signal when restoring on version 12. (BART-541)
- Avoid restore failure with large tablespace OID. (Support Ticket #924144, BART-526)
- Fix for possible incremental backup failure when WAL files arrive out of order or on multiple timelines. (Support Ticket #930231,870622, 895745; BART-534)
- Use local timestamps for backup start and stop times. (Support Ticket #864024, BART-450)
- BART 2.3 backup -s all discontinues when 1 error occurs. (Support Ticket #889061, BART-470)
- Fix bugs in shell command file descriptor leak and execution error reporting. (Support Ticket #916112, BART-523)
- Produce a clearer error message when an invalid WAL segment size is detected. (BART-531)
- Add options in the bart.cfg file to specify the archive_path and bart_socket_directory. (Support Ticket #853481, BART-417 and BART-500)

- EDB Backup and Recovery Tool v2.2 and above.
This update is available as an RPM package that can be downloaded from the yum.enterprisedb.com repository.
