WHAT’S NEW
This update is notifying you of a new software release EDB Postgres™ Advanced Server 12.2.3. EDB Postgres Advanced Server 12 is built on open-source PostgreSQL 12, which introduces myriad enhancements that enable databases to scale up and scale out in more efficient ways. PostgreSQL 12 builds upon the existing partitioning techniques by allowing faster partition pruning along with additional partition improvements, several btree index advancements, CTE inlining, SERIALIZABLE for parallel query and many new features and capabilities.
Highlights of 12.2.3 release include:
- Merge with community release 12.2.

- On Windows, SSL support is now provided through SafeLogic OpenSSL (1.0.2u).
This update contains the following fixes:
- RM44151 - Skip expression simplification while fetching cursor rowtype. [#940052]
- RM44174 - Disable partition pruning while fetching a cursor rowtype. [#950257]
- RM44155 - Fixed execution of empty statements via expired accounts. [#942512]
- RM44128/DB-132 - Fix server crash in interval partitioning with CLOBBER_CACHE_ALWAYS build
- RM44175/DB-228 - Allow altering only its own password when expired while using password profiles.
- RM44123 - Fixed handling of subtypes in the extended protocol.
- RM44176 - Suppress error detail when password expire is set to infinity while using password profiles.
- RM44108 - Clear rolpasswordsetat when a user is renamed.
- RM44164 - Fixed invalid memory context handling inside switchToVariableContext().
- RM44109 - Fixed CREATE TRIGGER .. AUTHORIZATION behavior to avoid potential pg_upgrade failures.
- RM44129 - Fixed TAP testcase failure.
- RM44141 - Fixed DROP TRIGGER by name behavior for statement-level triggers.
- RM44130 - Fixed makeConst() call arguments order correctly in parse_spl_var().
- RM44118 - Change datatype from int to double to avoid wrap around in password profile.
