WHAT’S NEW
This update is notifying you of the general availability release of High Availability Router for Postgres (HARP) 1.0.0 for production deployments with BDR. HARP is a cluster management tool for Bi-directional Replication (BDR) clusters, which routes all application traffic within a data center to only one lead master at a time. Together with the core capabilities of BDR this mechanism allows for fast failover and switchover without risk of data loss.
Features available with previous beta releases include:
- Proxy traffix with HAProxy
- Usage of native BDR (3.6.21 and later), or etcd as a consensus layer
- Packaged as RPM's
- Deployable as part of a Trusted Postgres Architecture with BDR
