WHAT’S NEW

This announcement is notifying you of new software releases of the EDB Foreign Data Wrappers for Hadoop, MongoDB, and MySQL. These foreign Data Wrappers allow EDB Postgres Advanced Server to connect to Hadoop, MongoDB, and MySQL servers enabling you to view, join and manage data holistically.

Highlights of this release include:

Hadoop FDW 2.1.0

Type	Highlights
Enhancement	Join Pushdown If a query has a join between two foreign tables from the same remote server, you can now push that join down to the remote server instead of fetching all the rows for both the tables and performing a join locally.
Enhancement	Support for EDB Postgres Advanced Server 14.1.0

MongoDB FDW 5.3.0

Type	Highlights
Enhancement	Join Pushdown If a query has a join between two foreign tables from the same remote server, you can now push that join down to the remote server instead of fetching all the rows for both the tables and performing a join locally.
Enhancement	Support for EDB Postgres Advanced Server 14.1.0
Bug fix	Optimizes a few APIs for better performance.
Bug fix	Added support for the whole-row reference.

MySQL FDW 2.7.0

Type	Highlights
Enhancement	Aggregate Pushdown Push aggregates to the remote MySQL server instead of fetching all of the rows and aggregating them locally.
Enhancement	Support for EDB Postgres Advanced Server 14.1.0
Bug fix	Fixed function expression deparsing implicit/explicit coercion, so that we don't send the wrong query to the MySQL server.
Bug fix	Fixed import foreign schema failure due to SET type.
