WHAT’S NEW
 

This announcement is notifying you of a new software release: Backup and Recovery Tool 2.6 (BART)

Backup and Recovery Tool facilitates and automates complete hot physical backups of your PostgreSQL or EDB Postgres Advanced Server. It is a centralized server that can connect to and backup multiple local or remote Postgres databases.

Highlights of this release include:

FIPS 140-2 (Federal Information Processing Standards) configuration options: disable checksum verification and configure the bart_socket_name

Enables customers to run in more secure environments by allowing them to disable MD5 checksums.

Support for PostgreSQL 13 and EDB Postgres Advanced Server 13

Enables customers to use the latest version of PostgreSQL and upcoming EDB Postgres Advanced Server release

Documentation improvements: option to copy commands from HTML documentation

Improves user experience by allowing customers to copy commands to the browser clipboard in one click.

End-of-Support Reminder:

  • Support for PostgreSQL and EDB Postgres Advanced Server v9.5 is revoked
