WHAT’S NEW
This is to update you about the release of Replication Server version 6.2.16. Replication Server provides a robust solution for synchronizing data to or from non-Postgres, as well as, between Postgres databases.

NOTE: While installing Replication Server 6.2.x for the first time or upgrading to latest Replication Server 6.2.x from an older Replication Server 6.2.x RPM installation (using the yum repository), it is mandatory to use ‘--exclude edb-xdb’ while running install or upgrade command. If the exclude switch is not used, Replication Server version 7.0 will be installed for fresh installation or current installation will be upgraded to version 7.0.
To upgrade:
yum upgrade ppas-xdb* --exclude edb-xdb*
To do a fresh install:
yum install ppas-xdb --exclude edb-xdb
Finally, as an important note in regards to choosing to deploy the new 7.0 version: While the 7.0 version is backward compatible with 6.2.x it is strongly recommended to verify 7.0 in a staging or nonproduction environment before applying the upgrade in a production environment. Version 7.0 provides a non-breaking upgrade path for existing cluster deployments.

Replication Server 6.2.16 is available in EDB Repos in the form of RPM and DEB native packages. It is also packaged and delivered as interactive installers available on the EDB Downloads site.
