EDB strives to bring you the most performant and most up-to-date software possible based on PostgreSQL - The World's Most Advanced Open Source Database. A key part of this process is the retirement of obsolete versions of the software and replacing them with newer, more powerful and secure versions.

Community and EDB support for PostgreSQL 9.6 will end in November 2021 and EDB support for EDB Postgres™ Advanced Server 9.6 will end in February 2022 unless an Extended Life Support subscription is in place.

We encourage you to work with your EDB Account team to plan a move to a newer version of PostgreSQL and/or EDB Advanced Server and to learn what EDB can offer to support you getting there.  For those who may require EDB support beyond the support dates listed above, we can provide this through our Extended Life Support offering for up to two years, as you work toward the goal of upgrading to a fully supported version.
